Spirit Animal: The Spirit Animal is the one who comes to you in order to show you, through its own unique nature and skills, how to deal with the manifestations of your Spiritual Journey. Spirit Animals do not necessarily guide you, but they come to teach you that which you need to learn, in order to know how meet the challenges of your Spirit Walk.

Each Spirit Animal has certain powers and skills to teach and certain knowledge to share, for each Spirit Animal has its own methods of overcoming the many challenges it must meet in order to survive.

The Spirit Animal’s appearance signals a time to connect with your true Self and your life’s purpose. Pay attention to the repeated appearance of this animal and of repeated patterns or themes. Awakening to the recognition of these seemingly synchronistic occurrences teaches you to be aware of the hidden messages in everyday experiences.

You do not choose your Spirit Animal, it chooses you. True Spirit Animals will appear only at the time and place in your life when you are ready to accept them and the wisdom the come to offer.

Animal Totem: Native American tradition holds that different animal guides come in and out of a person’s life depending on the direction that person is headed and the challenges he faces. A totem animal is the one animal that acts as the main guardian spirit and is with a person for life, both in the physical and spiritual world. Traditionally, it is the totem animal, such as an eagle, wolf, bear, horse or dragonfly (insects defined below), that finds the person, not the other way around.

Insect Totems: Whether you love some or hate them all, insects are all extremely symbolic. As animal totems, insects have a lot to teach us in terms of productivity, communication, teamwork and more.

In truth, insects are connected to their environment. They are so in tune with their surroundings that they seem one with the elements within which they live. This is a big lesson for us. Rather than hammer at our conditions to make them what we want – insects teach us to adapt to our conditions. Work with our environment. Essentially, living in harmony with our surroundings is a lot easier than fighting everything around us all the time.

Insects are progressive, and proactive – always adapting to the environment, and never letting little things like natural disasters get in their way of progress. When we get discouraged, we could all learn a thing or two from insect animal totem meanings. It’s their unsinkable nature that reminds us to keep moving forward for progress.

Elemental Spirits
Elemental Spirits are said to be the spirit of things that inhabit Nature such as trees, mountains, rivers and waterfalls. All things contain energy vibrations including humans and communication with all spirit guides is accomplished through this energy. These elemental energies follow Natural Law which may be an obstacle to understanding the messages they bring. People who are extremely close to Nature are most likely those to receive messages from this group of spirit guides.
