The ankh symbol—sometimes referred to as the key of life—is representative of eternal life. It could also have a more physical connotation: the ankh may represent water, air, and the sun, which were meant to provide and preserve life.
Connemara marble is a healing gem for the heart and emotions. It is a wonderful stone for anxiety, self control, and stability. It was formed from sediment deposited in a shallow primal sea over 600 million years ago. These sediments were transformed by formidable forces generated in the formation of the mountains of the West of Ireland and Scotland over 390 million years ago.
The beautiful bands of rich to pale green within the marble are formed by tiny crystals of green serpentine, diopside, chlorite, and creamy white calcite, and dolomite.
Also know as the "national gemstone of Ireland."
