These pieces were inspired by the book Voyager when they finally reunite in the print shop. Ahhhhhhh.
The Celtic Knot as we know in many cultures including Scotland. These knots are complete loops that have no start or finish and could be said to represent eternity whether this means loyalty, faith, friendship or love. The amethyst is referred to in Scottish Prisoner, Chapter 38: Redux, we learn that Jamie keeps a raw amethyst to remind him of Claire. Amethyst is thought to have supernatural powers and bring luck. Its color and beauty are without rival, even from other much more expensive purple gems. The color purple denotes royalty, and the rich and powerful have worn it as a mark of rank for hundreds of years. Jamie chose a most suitable stone to represent Claire. (credit tapatalk.com)
In medieval times, the amethyst soothed those who were stressed and alerted wearers to traces of poison. Its medicinal ability evokes an image of Claire the physician.
